SEND at St John's
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Provision
St John’s Primary School is a Church of England mainstream school. We are highly committed to offering an inclusive curriculum to ensure the best possible progress for all of our pupils, whatever their needs and abilities.
The school seeks to raise the achievement, remove barriers to learning and support physical and curricular access to all.
We aim to enable every child to learn as effectively as possible, to enjoy his/her learning and to provide a foundation for life-long learning.
All children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) are valued, respected and are equal members of the school.
The Inclusion Team is led by Mrs Havey, our Deputy Headteacher.
Our SENDCo is Mrs Chambers.
Mrs Rose is our Behaviour Support Lead; she works with parents on referrals to CAMHS and Primary Behaviour Support Service.
Mrs Blanksby is the Family Support Worker (FSW) and school ELSA.
Ms Hyndman is our attendance office and also another ELSA in school.
We have a SEN LSA Mrs Roberts who specialises in 'Speech and Language.'
Further information about SEND provision at St John's Primary School can be found in our SEND policy and SEN Information Report on this website.
