Passion for Writing

On Thursday 21 October we had a really exciting day at St John's. We had all chosen a passion that we wanted to write about. On the morning of the the day we all did very exciting activities and we spent the afternoon writing in response to our fantastic morning.

Arrrrgh; Ahoy there me hearties!

Some of us were pirates for the morning and we had a whale of a time working with Mother Carrie and Mrs Lowman

Mrs Wilkinson got everyone very excited about chocolate!

The smell was delicious. There were some incredibly chocolatey faces around the school!

11 boys... 1 adult... several cardboard boxes and an enormous quantity of tin foil.

The boys worked like troopers (not Storm Troopers) all morning to a fantastic space inspired soundtrack in between episodes of Superted, Button Moon and the Clangers. They then wrote all afternoon.

Spookiness at the New Theatre Royal

Not a soul about, the floorboard creaks, an eerie breeze rushes through the tattered crimson velvet curtains, while somewhere in the distance a door slams!

Spine chilling settings were beautifully written at the theatre.

Magical, Mystical Trees

Beautiful photographs of all sorts of trees and their leaves inspired superb writing about the trees.
